APEX is a personal training facility based in Kilmarnock specialising in strength training. We aim for everyone who steps through our doors to feel comfortable, feel like they belong, and, most importantly, fall in love with strength training.
Whether your goal is weight loss, improving your performance, general health and fitness, or anything in between, our personal training sessions are designed to get you the result you want.
Personal training with us means everyone who walks through our doors has a tailored personal experience. There are no “one-size-fits-all” workouts, no having to train in big groups to a generic template, no more having to worry about keeping up or being forgotten about… and 100% no burpees!

Kenny Picken - "rehab guy"
CO-FOUNDER & TRAINER
With over 15 years of personal training experience and having competed in powerlifting and Olympic lifting, Kenny is our in-house “rehab and performance” specialist. Obsessed with injury prevention, movement mechanics and sport-specific training, if you want to get strong, improve your golf swing or pack on some muscle, Kenny is your guy.

Pamala Sharpe
CO-FOUNDER & TRAINER
Having been a Personal Trainer for 13 years, an L3 in Pre and Post Natal Exercise and now a certified MNU Nutritionist with an L5 Diploma in Advanced Nutrition Science, Pamala is incredibly passionate about all aspects of women’s health. Specialising in fat loss, breaking free from dieting struggles right through to getting strong, fit and healthy at any stage of your life.

Erin Adam
TRAINER
Fully qualified, full-time Personal Trainer since 2018. Erin teaches strength training with skill, applying years of knowledge to each client, and helps people progress to reach their training goals and, importantly, improve their confidence while they are at it! She is also our go-to boxing coach, and leads sessions on a Monday with some boxing elements added in.

To give you a feel of what it's like to train with us, we have a free consultation. Here which is a chat about yourself, your goals, your training history and a quick, easy movement screen. This helps us build a personalised plan to suit you and your goals best.

We then do a follow-up personal training session that’s built from all the information we gathered in your consultation. This acts as a test drive and helps you experience a session with us from start to finish before you decide to join us.

By this time, you have smashed your follow-up Personal Training session, and then we can kick off your fitness journey in APEX if this is what you choose! Otherwise feel free to use your learnings at home or at the gym.
